HOW TO CLEAN & MAINTAIN YOUR SOFA COVERS

When you buy the sofa cover you love, you do it to guarantee the beauty and comfort of your chair. However, as you will soon realize, you also need to care for the cover. Without proper care, the lovely cover you chose to protect your chair; might not last very long.

However, with the right strategy and decent care, you can keep the cover in good shape, ensuring the long-term safety of your sofa. You'll need to maintain it to preserve color and texture.

How do you maintain your miracle sofa cover? Here are reliable ways, through which you can prolong the life of your sofa cover.

KEEP IT CLEAN

To keep your sofa cover in tip-top condition, clean it regularly. After being in use for a while, slipcovers are likely to collect dust particles. Consider cleaning it like you would a bed sheet.

If you are to prolong your slipcovers life, brush or vacuum clean sofa's cushions monthly.

By doing this, you get rid of all the dust or dirt it might have accumulated underneath it over time. As a result, you keep it in top condition.

MINIMIZE STAINS & SPILLS

Even though slipcovers protect sofas from spills and stains, it's a good practice to do your best to prevent scenarios in which stains become present. For example, consider not drinking wine or eating food on your couch, but instead at the dinner table or with the help of a TV tray.

While preventing stains on your covers is ideal, unfortunately, it does not matter how careful we think we are; there is a high chance that your cover will eventually succumb to spills and stains.

Consider the degree of damage a red wine spill can have on the color of your cover. When this happens, promptly clean it with the products readily available, to save it from irreversible damage.

Note: Choose the right color. White upholstery is likely to get more stains than blue, gray, or red slipcover. Stains are likely to cause irreversible damage to a light-color (white) compared to a dark color (gray, blue, or red).

HOW DO YOU CLEAN YOUR MIRACLESOFA COVER?

Even with the best of intentions, there will come a time when you will need to deep clean your MiracleSofa Cover.

Washing your sofa cover is simple--All it takes is removing the slipcover from your sofa or cushions for washing, but there are specific instructions you should follow.

Here are some techniques you can follow to safely clean your sofa cover.

IS IT MACHINE-WASHABLE?

Yes, all MiracleSofa fabrics are machine-washable when youchoose a gentle or hand-wash cycle. Follow the instructions below and your sofa cover will be nice and clean.

WASHING MACHINE INSTRUCTIONS

If you can, please wash your MiracleSofa product in a load by itself. If you have multiple covers, it's best to wash all of your sofa covers at the same time while avoiding mixing light and dark colors.

Follow these steps to safely wash your MiracleSofa Cover:

Ready the slipcover for washing.

Step 1:
Clean up any pet hair and dirt particles using a lint roller with the sofa cover still on the sofa.

Step 2: Remove the slipcover from the sofa.

Step 3: Use a vacuum cleaner to suck up any micro dirt or dust on the sofa that may have accumulated.

Step 4: Set the washing machine to use cold water and a mild laundry detergent product in a gentle cleaning sequence.

After, you can throw it in the dryer or let it air dry. If you resort to using a dryer, ensure you set it to low heat. You want to prevent the slipcover from shrinking and higher temperatures may shrink the material. Allow the slipcover to dry completely before placing it back on your sofa.

Additional Tips

- Use non-dyed gentle-wash laundry detergent or pods

- Choose a Cold Wash Temperature

- Choose a Gentle Wash cycle

- You can wash multiple covers at once, but wash ONLY your covers. Do not mix other laundry with your sofa covers.

HAND-WASH INSTRUCTIONS

If your prefer a safer method to washing your sofa cover, all that you need is warm water, soap, and laundry detergent. However, if it is full of stains, you may need a stain remover as well.

Alternatively, you could also use a water-based cleaner together with vinegar and baking soda.

Follow the same instructions as above. Instead of throwing the sofa cover in a washing machine, hand-wash it. Allow it to air dry.

DRY CLEAN ONLY MATERIALS & INSTRUCTIONS

Covers made of silk, velvet, wool, and microfiber should be dry cleaned. Do this using a piece of cloth dipped into a mixture of cleaning alcohol and vinegar. If such products are not readily available, you can substitute carpet cleaning products.

To ensure you do it right, make sure the cloth you use does not shade off its color, preferably test with a white cloth.
